Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how DevHue ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the DebtSquish app for iPhone ("the App") and the devhue.com website. The short version: your financial data stays on your device, we don't require an account, and we never sell your data.

1. Information stored in the App

The debts, credits, balances, payments, notes, and reminders you enter into DebtSquish are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, view, or upload this information to our own servers.

If you use Apple's iCloud backup or device sync, your App data may be included in those backups. That data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and we have no access to it.

2. Information we do not collect

  • We do not ask for or store your bank, credit card, or lender login credentials. The App never connects to your financial institutions.
  • We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or contact details through the App.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent any user data to third parties.

3. Diagnostics and analytics

If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics (such as how often the App crashes on a given iOS version). This information contains no financial data you entered and cannot be used to identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

4. Notifications

If you enable payment reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push notification server and reminder content never leaves your iPhone.

5. The devhue.com website

Our website is a static informational site. It does not use tracking cookies and does not require you to log in. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and operational purposes.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. Deleting a debt inside the App removes it, and deleting the App from your iPhone removes all App data stored on the device. To remove App data from iCloud backups, follow Apple's instructions for managing iCloud storage.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we hold no copy of the data you enter into the App, these rights are exercised directly on your device as described above. For anything related to the website or email correspondence with us, contact us and we will help.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the App handles data — for example by adding an optional sync feature — we will update this policy, change the date at the top, and describe the change clearly before it takes effect.
